Warehouse Infrastructure

The bones of your space.

Racking, mezzanines, and partitioning. Designed and built to take the load, and re-engineered around the LED screens, equipment, and stock your operation actually runs on.

What we build

Six infrastructure types,
designed around your operation.

From a 50-pallet expansion to a 5,000-square-metre two-tier mezzanine, we design, supply, and install the structural backbone of warehouses, cash & carry stores, and commercial fit-outs.

Conventional pallet racking in distribution centre

Conventional Pallet Racking

The universal direct-access system. Every pallet is individually retrievable. Suits operations with a wide stock range and high-frequency picking. New or pre-owned, designed for your forklift type and pallet profile.

Direct access · 100% selectivity · Adjustable beams
High-density drive-in pallet racking

Drive-In & High-Density Racking

Accumulative storage where pallets are loaded into deep lanes. Eliminates access aisles to maximise pallet positions per square metre. Ideal for slow-moving stock or single-SKU bulk storage.

LIFO flow · Up to 75% floor utilisation
Cantilever racking for long-goods storage

Cantilever & Long-Goods Racking

Horizontal arm racking for awkward, long, or heavy stock: timber, pipework, sheet metal, carpet rolls. Available indoor or hot-dip galvanised for external yards.

Long goods · Indoor or outdoor · Up to 1,500kg/arm
Industrial shelving and storage

Industrial Shelving

Short-span and long-span shelving for picking aisles, archive storage, parts and spares, and small-item retail or wholesale stock. Easily reconfigurable as your stock profile evolves.

Short / long span · Boltless options · Up to 500kg/level
Multi-level mezzanine floor in warehouse

Mezzanine Floors

Single, double, or triple-tier mezzanine floors that double or triple your floor area without moving site. Fire-rated, building-regs compliant, designed with stairs, lift access, and edge protection.

Up to 3 tiers · 1.5 to 7.5kN/m² loading · Fire-rated
Mesh and panel partitioning system

Partitioning Systems

Secure mesh cages, fire-rated office partitions, and acoustic walls. Useful for separating bonded stock, creating offices on the warehouse floor, or zoning operational areas.

Mesh · Fire-rated · Acoustic · Demountable
How we design the right system

Five questions we answer
before any steel goes up.

Bad racking layouts cost twice: once when you install them, again when you find they don't work. Here's what we survey before we quote.

01

Pallet profile & weight

Standard UK pallet (1200x1000mm)? Euro pallet (1200x800mm)? Half-pallet, quarter-pallet, oversized? Each profile drives beam length and capacity. Weight per pallet determines beam thickness and upright spec.

We start with your actual pallet inventory, not a generic spec, because under-engineered racking is dangerous and over-engineered racking is wasted money.

02

Aisle width & forklift type

Counterbalance, reach truck, narrow-aisle articulated, VNA man-up. Each demands a different minimum aisle width. The narrower you go, the more pallets you fit, but the more specialised the truck.

We map the forklifts you run today (and plan to run) against the layout, so the warehouse works on day one and scales with you.

03

Floor loading capacity

Most concrete warehouse slabs handle 25 to 50 kN/m² point loads. Older slabs sometimes don't. Mezzanines almost always require a concrete-strength assessment before sign-off.

We arrange a slab survey on any install where it matters, and design footplates, sole plates, or strengthening where the existing floor isn't up to spec.

04

Stock flow: FIFO or LIFO?

Date-coded stock (food, pharma, chemicals) needs FIFO: first in, first out. That points to live pallet, push-back, or drive-through systems. Non-date-coded bulk stock can work LIFO with drive-in racking and save you significant floor space.

We start the design from how stock actually moves through your operation.

05

Compliance, inspection & planning

Every install is SEMA-code compliant. Mezzanines over a certain size need building regs sign-off and may need planning permission. Fire-rated structures need approval. Pallet racking needs annual SARI inspection.

We handle the surveys, paperwork, and sign-offs, and book the first annual inspection before the warranty starts.

The full-service difference

Most racking installers
leave when the steel's up.

We're just getting started. The racking is the platform: for the LED screens that mount on it, the electrical that powers it, the lighting that lets your team see, and the network that ties it all together.

01 / DESIGN

We design it.

Site survey, slab strength check, CAD layouts, 3D walkthroughs, fire-strategy and planning-permission paperwork. You see the warehouse before it's built. Changes are made on paper, not on installation day.

02 / BUILD

We build it.

In-house teams. No agency labour, no scheduling lottery. SEMA-approved installation, full safety method statements, certified by our project manager on site. Built around your operating hours, phased where you can't pause.

03 / INTEGRATE

We integrate it.

LED screens mounted to your racking. Power circuits run through it. Lighting designed around it. Networking cabled into it. CCTV positioned to cover it. One project manager, not a five-trade handover scramble.

Racking isn't an island.
We build it to work with everything else.

FAQ

Questions operators ask
before quoting.

What types of racking do you supply?
All major systems: conventional (selective) pallet racking, drive-in racking, push-back, pallet live (FIFO), cantilever for long goods, narrow-aisle, and external galvanised racking for yard storage. We're brand-agnostic and specify the system that suits your stock flow, footprint, and forklift type.
Can you re-use or relocate existing racking?
Yes. We routinely strip down, inspect, and re-install pre-owned racking, often as part of a hybrid layout combining new and existing stock. Every relocated component is inspected against SEMA codes. If any frame or beam doesn't pass, we replace it.
Do I need planning permission for a mezzanine?
Sometimes. Mezzanines under a certain area and used purely for storage often fall under permitted development. Larger mezzanines, or any used as offices, retail, or trade-counter space, typically need planning permission and full building regs sign-off. We handle the application paperwork, fire strategy, and structural calculations in-house.
How is racking certified for safety?
We install to SEMA (Storage Equipment Manufacturers' Association) codes, with a signed-off load notice fitted to every run. Every install includes a SARI (Storage and Rack Inspection) compliance check at handover, and we'll book the first annual inspection before warranty starts.
How long does mezzanine installation take?
A typical single-tier mezzanine of 400 to 800m² takes 2 to 4 weeks from site arrival to handover. Multi-tier mezzanines with offices, fire-rated cladding, and services integration run 6 to 10 weeks. The longest part is usually the building regs process, which can run in parallel.
Can racking be installed while we're operational?
Almost always, yes. We phase installations: closing one aisle at a time, working overnight or out of hours, or sectioning the warehouse into rolling work zones. The aim is zero impact on picking, deliveries, or dispatch. Method statements are written around your operating pattern, not ours.
What weight can mezzanine floors hold?
Standard storage mezzanines are designed to 3.5 kN/m² (350 kg per square metre). Heavier uses (bulk pallet storage, manufacturing, automated systems) go to 5 kN/m² or 7.5 kN/m². Office-only mezzanines are typically 2.5 kN/m². We design to your actual use case, not a generic figure.
Do you handle the LED, electrical, and networking installs too?
Yes. That's the whole point. Our in-house electricians, networking engineers, and LED installation team work alongside the structural team, so racking, mezzanines, screens, power, lighting, and data go in together. One contract, one project manager, one timeline.
